Yesterday we went into the Upper Antelope Canyon.  The next morning at 8:30 AM we are going into the Lower canyon.  Again you can not go in without a guide.  We used Ken's which is located right at the trailhead of the slot canyon.  I made a reservation the night before online at 10:30 at night.  You do not have to make a reservation.  You can go up to the Navajo entrance and take a tour. You may have to wait, that is the advantage of the reservation.  Look at the FAQ on the link for more information.

We thought the Upper was good.  OMG the Lower is so much more amazing.  You need to be able to go down steep stairs.  No big deal unless you have knee problems or other leg issues.

What can I say. We loved it.  Julio would have liked to take the Photographer tour next time.  We decided since it was his birthday we would stay together and enjoy the general tour.  Since we were the first group in we were not on top of each other like you may read.  Also we read the lights were good in the morning because the sun is rising and you see different colors.  We did!

Everyone should do this trip if they are visiting AZ.  Especially if you are cutting though from the North Rim or Utah to AZ.  All I can say is WOW!!

We took hundreds of pictures.  Here are a few. Enjoy the pictures!

Our Tour guide showed us how the rain and dirt over time creates the slot canyon.
Really Fascinating!

Happy Birthday to Julio!
I am sure we will be back to the Lower Antelope Canyon some day soon!
